October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month.
This, of course, is an opportunity to acknowledge the deep impact that domestic violence has on our community. It also, however, offers an opportunity for reflection and reāevaluation. We, at the WAVA, hold the desire to create evolution through dialog; conversations which invite integration of our whole selves.
We cannot do this ignoring issues of intersectionalities and historical oppression.
